Area 21 was founded in May 2022 and is a fully owned subsidiary of Elmos Semiconductor SE. The initial team was built up with Elmos software experts in October 2022. Area 21 has employees with many years of experience in managing, designing and testing software to enhance functionality of Elmos ICs. The main focus is on building embedded software for the automotive industry in close cooperation with the Elmos hardware development.
